⚙️ Settings & Permissions

Configure your project’s statuses, tags, team members, roles, integrations, and advanced options to tailor Sniffer to your team’s workflow.

🌟 Overview

Settings are scoped to individual projects — each project can have its own statuses, tags, roles, and configurations. Access project settings by clicking Settings in the project sidebar.

Organization-wide settings (company integrations, billing, member management) are in Company Settings, accessible from the top-level navigation.

🏗️ Project Settings

📝 General

Setting	Description
Project Name	Update the display name
Project Description	Edit the description
Project Key	Read-only — set during creation, used in issue IDs (e.g., `SNF-101`)
Domain	Project domain
Icon / Color	Color-coded project icon

📊 Custom Statuses

Customize the workflow columns on your 📋 Task Board:

Action	Description
➕ Add Status	Create a new workflow column
✏️ Edit	Rename a status or change its color
🔀 Reorder	Drag statuses to change column order
🗑️ Delete	Remove a status (issues move to another column)
🎨 Color	Assign a color to each status

Default statuses: Todo, In Progress, In Review, Done

Note: Status changes on the board automatically update linked Jira tickets when 🔗 integration is active.

🏷️ Tags

Create and manage color-coded labels for categorizing issues:

Action	Description
➕ Create Tag	Add a new tag with name and color
✏️ Edit	Rename or recolor a tag
🗑️ Delete	Remove a tag from the project

Tags appear as colored chips on 📋 Task Board cards and in the 🐛 Bug Details drawer.

👥 Members

Manage the project team:

➕ Add Member	Search by email, invite to the project
🗑️ Remove	Remove a member from the project
🔄 Change Role	Assign a different role

⚙️ Advanced Settings

🚨 Danger Zone

At the bottom of Project Settings:

Action	Description
🗑️ Delete Project	Permanently removes the project and ALL data

Click Delete Project
Type the project name to confirm
Click Delete to permanently remove

⚠️ Warning: This is irreversible. All tasks, sprints, feedback, attachments, integrations, and settings are permanently deleted.

🔐 Roles & Permissions

👤 Role Definitions

Role	Description
🛡️ Admin	Full access — manage settings, integrations, members, and all issues
👤 Member	Create, edit, and manage issues; participate in sprints; view analytics
👁️ Viewer	Read-only access to task board, feedback, and dashboards
🎫 Client	Feedback-only mode — can submit and view feedback, no board access

📋 Module-Level Permissions

Each role has granular permissions across modules:
